Safety is a priority at Corner Hill House. Please note the measures we have taken to make your stay comfortable.
Steep Stairs
There are two sets of steep stairs in Corner Hill House. Please be cautious by holding on tight! If you have young children we have 2 baby gates that can be used to reduce the risk to your children.
Hot Oven Door!
The oven door gets hot. When the kidlets are around we put a towel over the handle to prevent them from touching it.
Fire Extinguisher
Located at the top of the basement stairs, this important piece of safety equipment is there should the need arise.
Fire & CO2 Alarms
Each floor has an alarm that is checked and maintained regularly.
Fire Ladder
The top floor - the Kid's Dorm - has a fire ladder that can be thrown out the top floor window to escape a fire. Please do not take the ladder out of the box if it is not an emergency. Let's keep it all in tact for a real emergency.
Steep Hill Behind the House
There is a very steep hill behind the house. This is a lot of fun for kids but please supervise them! Or climb the hill yourself! Great cardio!
Night Lights
The power has been know to go out in the Crowsnest Pass. These night lights also double as flashlights. In addition, you can charge your phone with the power stored in this device. They may come in handy some day!
Our Deer Family
We have a family of wild deer that often relax in our yard. They are lovely to look at and if you calmly walk by them they are likely to retreat or just sit and watch you. Please do not chase or approach them.
